Red Rubber (SBR)
Economical Water Service Not for Oils/Fuels
Style 7237 red rubber is a styrene-butadiene copolymer (SBR) offering good physical properties at an economical price. Developed as a synthetic alternative to natural rubber, it conforms well to uneven flange surfaces and offers strong abrasion resistance, impact strength, resilience, and tensile strength. Red rubber is popular for hot or cold water applications and is a cost-effective choice for sturdy industrial elastomer needs. It is not suitable for oils, fuels, solvents, or hydraulic fluids. These gaskets have demonstrated long-term reliability over many years.
