Our Style 7530 virgin PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) is a high-molecular-weight polymer renowned for its versatility. It resists nearly all chemicals in the 0-14 pH range (except molten alkali metals and elemental fluorine) and performs reliably from cryogenic temperatures up to 500°F. PTFE is especially suited for food and beverage applications that require high-purity materials and must avoid contamination or media discoloration. It has an incredibly low coefficient of friction—lower than any known solid surface. Provides superior non-stick properties. Due to excellent chemical and thermal resistance, PTFE is a preferred gasket material in many industries.
