Mechanical Packing

Pump & Valve Service Multiple Materials Industrial Grade American Made

Mechanical packing, also known as compression packing or gland packing, is a braided sealing material used to control leakage in pumps, valves, and rotating equipment. Installed into a stuffing box and compressed by a gland, it expands radially to form a seal between the shaft and housing — providing reliable, field-adjustable sealing without the complexity of mechanical seals. Our mechanical packing lineup covers a wide range of materials, constructions, and service conditions, from general-purpose pump and valve applications to extreme temperature, high-pressure, and chemically aggressive environments. Whether your application calls for PTFE, graphite, aramid, carbon fiber, or natural fiber construction, we carry the right grade for the job. All styles are supplied on 5 lb spools in standard square cross-section sizes and are manufactured in the USA to ensure consistent quality and performance.
